The Asshat ß - Now also available in 4e-fte Flavour (Now with pics too)
Well the time has finally come - as I have not so subtley, I have indeed, eaten a monkey...erm, I mean, I have indeed gotten my Asshat back and this
time, it's 4e-fte inside. And first off, it's nothing short of amazing that little CT9 turbo makes (albeit, I'm not running standard...) - there is
actually TORQUE now, so much so that overtaking is a blink and you'll miss it affair. Boost starts building up at 2500rpm, full boost by about
3000rpm, and not letup till around 5500rpm....it is simply amazing stuff...so much grunt! However, with turbo, comes a Devlin like ability to drink,
which sucks, but I don't care.
Currently I am being a bit Gung Ho and running the TMIC with no sort of ventilation (seriously, no bonnet vent or anything), but it seems to be coping
admirably well! The radiator fluid if anything, is cooler than it used to be with the 5efhe! Rear bushes also reduce the mid-corner deflection of the
rear axle, it feels a lot more planted than it used to be, and a lot less bouncy.
Plans are many now, there is so much more potential and so much more to do. I want to stick to the CT9 for now, maybe get a hybrid, just cause of the
responsiveness. In a few months I will be getting my Ford Focus ST FMIC installed, with some Hayward & Scott FMIC Piping, plus a Turbo Back
exhaust system just so that I get rid of the restrictive N/A exhaust and the interwarmer...then I'll take things slow and actually
enjoy the car, probably do a bit to get the car suited for trackdays (heat wrap things, Baffled oil pan etc...).
I have no real pictures or videos, but here are a couple of teaser shots and video to quell you for now....
Booster Tuning foglights (currently causing the taillight fuse to blow up...):

H-I-D HID Kit (From Sam Luo):

HID Kit Ballast Resistor:

JAM Actuator:

JAM FCD:

Airbag ECU Removed:

Passenger Airbag removed:

(will add better ones soon)
Suffice to say, I'll do a full montage (Even riko had a montage, montaaaaaage) of pictures, and perhaps a video...may do a dyno session in about 2-3
weeks as well. Thanks to everyone for the support (and the sarcastic humour...appreciated, hope your engines blow up), and yeah, will keep you upto
date on everything....I used some Shell V-Power petrol today Oh, and to uphold
my legacy of breaking stuff....installed the HID's today but couldn't get them to work...turns out I didn't connect a wire, and driving down some
country roads, a few fuses blow meaning the dash, center console, fog, tail and side lights no longer work Oh, and the Lower Arm brace was catching a lot on a little test drive for the HID's and there's some rattling
now...
Anyway, hope you enjoy the update as much as I like driving it

waste of money that'll ensue

There's a law on the table for MD that allows 'show car' registered vehicles to skip emissions. If that passes... 4efte FTW.

very cool that it's finally back. as for the drinking comment, you're right about both me and my car. I spent $50 filling up my tank today, and
that's AFTER I took the intake off.

the car is FAST - I semi broke it tonight though...I forgot to connect up one of the wires for the HID's and they didn't work, so going down some
country roads, my dash lights, foglights and taillights stop working...good news is, I connected up that wire and the HID's work now, shame the fuses
didn't unblow themselves
But yeah, the TMIC has it's limitations, you can feel the car getting lethargic in stop & go traffic as the interwarmer gets cooked by the
standing heat of the engine. Once I get the FMIC on, and the exhaust system on, the improvement will be scary as they will literally allow the turbo
to work to it's full potential...can't wait

I'm anxious to see a video. I can't imagine too much power potential in a 1.3L 4 cyl.

if companies like Cruise, HRF and HKS can get 400bhp plus...there must be a potential - the limiting factor is the turbo
Oh, and to continue my legacy, may have broken my lower arm brace...was catching on a lot of things on the drive to test the HID's. The car is
genuinely fast now though...not extremely so, but still fast. As I said, will try get a dyno soon

I know what you mean Dev, I haven't experienced truly fast yet (well, besides the Ferrari 360 I drove), and I suppose my car isn't mind boggling
fast...but to put it bluntly, it's not Paseo-slow anymore.
I need to borrow one of the G-tech meters

word, buddy. I'm not trying to insult your car, and I'm sure it is considerably faster, which is great. But when I think FAST car, you're exactly
right, I think Ferarri (or my beloved DB9) or when I think mental I think Lamborghini.

Pure SEX dude!!
Did you try a bigger fuse? The car electrics are jdm spec and the booster fogs are euro spec so its logical... in a way
Anyway I hope you'll solve it soon cause I know you paid serious money for them.
I just have one question... why you want fog lights when you have xenon? With a second thought probably because you live in the UK and you actually
have fog there. So let me make another question. Why you didn't got some Cynos foglights?

Thanks Pierros - and well, bigger fuse would just mean the current would blow up the path of most resistance, so that'd mean bulbs, circuits etc being
blown.
And why the fogs? Looks mainly...but also for the dark country roads I love driving on and for the occasional fog too
