Bumper covers

Is there a way to take the bumper covers off with having to take the whole bumpers off of the car? I was in a yard a couple of weeks ago that had a Paseo with a nice bumper cover but I didn't have the time to look to take it off. If there is a way, I might go back this weekend and see if it is still there and get it.

Just wondering.

Yes the bumper covers do come off without removing the whole bumper.

You will need a 10mm socket & a 3" extension.

There are 4 or 5 bolts at the very bottom of the bumper.
One bolt on each side in the wheel well area at the top ends of the bumper.
And 3 or 4 that are under the small center grill portion on the top of the bumper.

This is for a 1st Gen Paseo. If I remember correctly, I think it's the same for a 2nd Gen.

That's great!!! Thanks for the information.

I imagine that the rear cover is set up in a similar way with just a few accessible bolts to hold it in.

Thanks again for the help!

Yes, the rear is similar.... but I can't remember off hand if there are top bolts.

... and your welcome. ;)

I went back this weekend and the bumper covers were gone. Big fat WAH!

Any how, I followed your instructions on another Paseo in the yard to see if I could do it and they were damn close. I will be prowling around now looking to to pounce on a new bumper cover.

Thanks again for the tips!
